EuroSpeleo Protection Symposium
The main topic of the 2014 EuroSpeleoProtection Symposium will be Speleological heritage: preserving natural and cultural sites. The speleological heritage is constantly exposed to numerous human impacts including impacts on subterranean environment and the associated surface area, biodiversity and other cultural resources. The symposium aims to assess these impacts and formulate policies, strategies and methodologies to reduce or avoid humanity’s impact on cave environments and karst landscapes. The main objective of this symposium is to provide a platform for scientists and speleologists, active in the area of cave and karst protection, to share the state of the art and overview of their current work in this field.
The symposium will be held in August 23-24, 2014 and the program will be available as soon as the registration will be closed.
